For a family friendly New Year’s Eve, downtown Kennebunk hosts an annual Wild Blueberry Drop (Maine’s version of a Times Square ball drop – Maine humor) at 9pm and again at midnight in downtown Kennebunk. Best viewing is from Kennebunk Library lawn next to the First Parish UU Church. This is Kennebunk’s 8th annual Blueberry Drop. The Waterhouse Center will be open for ice skating New Years Eve as well.
Maine & Vine sells all kinds of wine and bubbly for your NYE Champagne and Sparkling Wine needs. We love Maine & Vine, formerly Down East Wine, for their knowledgeable and passionate pours! Stop in for some popping good times, and stock up on your favorite toasting bottles for New Year’s.
Boathouse Waterfront Hotel and Bar hosts a Rock the Boat New Year’s Eve! DJ, dancing, Magic Mirror selfie station, cash bar, tix at Event Brite, Dec 31 9pm- 1am.
Stripers Waterside Restaurant at The Breakwater Inn & Spa has a special New Years Eve menu, serving a special menu, make reservations and taste their Exec Chef’s’ creations while overlooking the glittery moonlight on the Kennebunk River.
Kennebunkport Inn’s Burleigh has NYE with Standard dinner service from 4:00-8:00PM, bar until 9:00PM with a complimentary glass of bubbles and live music by William Cox from 6:00-9:00PM!
The Rabbit Hole has live music with Darren Whitney 8-11pm.
Pilot House is the usual fun, New Years is no different…open 12-8pm – always great. Fun, food, local friends, libation and some music.
Pedro’s is closed NYE and New Years Day. Back on Taco Tuesday.

For a refreshingly good time, how about a New Year’s dip in the Atlantic? The fun, frosty Annual Atlantic Plunge – Freezin’ For A Reason takes place at Gooch’s Beach Kennebunk. This chilly Polar Plunge event is held New Year’s Day, Register for this refreshing swim, registration fee is $25.
