Saturday Down East Wines will be pouring bubbly for a NYE Champagne and Sparkling Wine tasting, Dec 30 2-5pm. We love Down East’s tastings…. Matt, Libby & Mike are so knowledgeable and passionate about their pours! Stop in for some popping good times and tastes, and stock up on your favorite toasting bottles for New Years.
Kennebunkport Inn’s Burleigh has live music New Years Eve led by the talented Beau Dalleo, and his NYE collaborative band, Marshall Tucker Band drummer Carl Menard, Don Pride Band bassist Steve Footer, and Berklee sax virtuoso Daemian Allen. Party is 8PM, with music, cocktails, dancing, food and fun until the Ball drops in New York City!
Stripers Waterside Restaurant at the Breakwater Inn & Spa has a fantastic New Years Eve menu, serving from 4-10pm, $65 per person for a three-course menu, make reservations and taste their new Exec Chef Nick Burgess’ creations while overlooking the glittery moonlight on the Kennebunk River.
Alisson’s was forced to close NYE due to super cold and frozen pipes, same goes for Hurricane next door. Alisson’s willl reopen for their season Feb 1.
Ports of Italy has a 4 course New Year’s Eve dinner with live band. You can opt for the entire package at $75, or just pop in for the late night music and countdown celebrations for $20.
Pedro’s has a NYE party with Gorrilla Finger Dub Band playing 9:30-12:30.
For a family friendly New Year’s Eve, downtown Kennebunk will host its 4th year in a row of a Blueberry Drop (Maine’s version of a Times Square ball drop – Maine humor) at 9 p.m for the kids at Waterhouse Center with music by local guitarist Michael Corleto starting at 7pm, The Waterhouse ice rink will be open 6-10 pm for skating. The Brick Store Museum will offer tours all night long and two showings of the classic movie “Goonies,” at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. The midnight Blueberry Drop is at the United Universalist Church, descending from the church’s bell tower. New Year’s Eve Day, Pearl and Spat Oyster Bar will serve a New Year’s Eve Day Sunday jazz brunch at 11-2pm, Jan. 1!
On Tuesday after NYE, Jan 2, Old Vines Wine Bar has thier usual Happy Hour 4-6pm with great wine and cocktails specials and tapas style treats, plus a rocking late night party with DJ Nate playing after 9pm. Also, save the date January 4 for a great live act at Old Vines, Paul Chase JR plays Thursday 6-9pm. And looking ahead, prepare for Old Vines Avalanche Party Feb 17- sounds like a chillin’ thrillin’ good time!
For a refreshingly good time, how about a New Year’s dip in the Atlantic? This year’s 17th Annual Atlantic Plunge – Freezin’ For A Reason will actually take place on Saturday January 13, 2018, 11am Gooch’s Beach Kennebunk. This chilly Polar Plunge event is typically held New Year’s Day, Jan 1, but due to an astronomical high tide predicted for New Year’s Day 2018, never mind the crazy cold temps, the event has been move to the following weekend. Register for this refreshing swim, registration fee is $25.
