Kennebunk and Kennebunkport have an excellent school system K-12, known as RSU-21 with several modern schools and New England accreditation for both Advanced Placement studies and International Baccalaureate – one of few school systems in New England to achieve that high standard of teaching and scholastics. The Kennebunks are very family oriented from the school systems top academics and athletics, to a very popular and Parks and Recreation program with after school and school vacation activities for kids, families, teens and even senior citizens. There are even organized activities centered around the local retirement communities and advanced care facilities and nursing homes in Kennebunk.
Kennebunk has its own skateboard park, bridle paths and bike paths, several state of the art fitness clubs, excellent medical facilities and plenty of convenient shopping from major grocery, hardware and drug stores to weekly farmers’ markets and great chef owned restaurants with local specials.
When you are considering relocating to Kennebunk or Kennebunkport, you will find many diverse job occupations – some work from home, others commute 30 minutes to Portland or Portsmouth (each just a half hour’s drive).
