It’s easy to focus on the fear and the news cycle fodder. You can bum out that about Kennebunks’ beach rules, and mask requests in businesses. You can protest, pout, or you can order #takeout! Or dine out – outside at Kennebunkport Restaurants, or inside with appropriate table spacing and masks until you are seated. I hope we all appreciate our beautiful beaches and favorite businesses even more these days.
Let’s focus on the wonderful things occurring, non-profits and businesses rallying to offer new services to locals and yes – to visitors and seasonal residents!

Did you know this festival raised nearly a quarter million in 2018 and 2019 that went straight to 15 local non-profits?!
There are countless other happy helpful stories and efforts in Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, Cape Porpoise and Arundel, like COS – which was “staged” at Vinegar Hill Music Theatre as a drop off and pick up donation center and now has a permanent home in Kennebunk. So stay positive, see the strength and resilience – all the good in our neighborhood, be kind, be grateful, be tolerant. And please social distance and stay home to stop the spread.
