Dec 4, 6 – 9 pm Prelude Gala at White Columns
Enjoy the beautifully decorated White Columns, the 1853 Greek Revival home of the Perkins family, with hors d’oeuvres, music, and festive beverages. Presented by the Kennebunkport Historical Society. Friday Dec 5, 5:30-6:15 pm Christmas Prelude Tree Lighting in Dock Square
The official kick off to Christmas Prelude. Join in Christmas caroling with the Kennebunk High School Chamber Choir, followed by the lighting of the Tree. Sponsored by KBA member Kennebunk Savings. Dock Square, Kennebunkport.
Sat. Dec 6, 3 pm Prelude’s Hat Parade. We all love a parade, especially down delightful Dock Square. Christmas Prelude Hat Parade is a fun filled event where groups get wild and wacky with their matching hats. Dock Square is never more festive.
Sat. Dec 6, 6:30 pm Christmas Candlelight Caroling at the Franciscan Monastery
Join the Franciscans at Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto on the grounds of St. Anthony’s Monastery for the story of the birth of Jesus interspersed with Christmas songs by candlelight. Presented by St. Anthony’s Monastery and the Secular Franciscan Order. No parking on property. Sponsored by KBA member The White Barn Inn. Franciscan Monastery, 28 Beach Avenue, Kennebunk.
Sun. Dec 7, 1 pm Santa arrives by Lobster Boat – Nonantum Resort on the Kennebunk River
Sun. Dec 7, 7:30 -11 am Breakfast with Mrs Claus and the Elves at Nonantum Resort. Tickets for this fun family feast available at Nonantum Resort.
Fri. Dec 12, 6:15 pm Prelude 2nd Weekend Fireworks in Dock Square
The 2nd weekend of Prelude Tree Lighting, and Prelude’s annual Fireworks display over the back cove at 6:15. Streets will be closed to traffic from Dock Square, Kennebunkport.
Fri & Sat. Dec 12 & 13 6 – 10 pm – FIRE & ICE at Nonantum has become a perennial favorite – now in its 15th year. Enjoy outdoor bonfires, ice bars, bands and dancing, creative food and drink. are the dates for your Fire & Ice experience. For tickets See Nonantum Resort Web Site for Details
Sun. Dec 14 11am Dock Square Pooch Parade. We all love a parade, and you will love this 4-legged Prelude Pooch Parade where humans strut their mutts, swagger with their tail waggers in matching holiday attire. Its a hoot and a howl.
